The heads on the R32 are very similar to the W8 as are the cam adjusters and range of advance/retard for the camshafts hence why I hope we get a decent amount of extra power.

Most re-map comanies literaly, as you say, take out flat spots and optimise the existing mapping, hence why near all quote 16bhp increases. If these guys do come up with the goods then it will need to be dyno'd to prove it.

Well, here is my c-list ad...a half-hearted attempt to sell my W8.

Any thoughts on the price? In comparison to other W8's in my region, I think it is a fair deal.

After 3.5 years of ownership, I'm getting the itch for something new. Hopefully, that will go away and I'll keep this W8 a while longer! :)

My current warranty is with Fidelity Warranty Services. At the time the warranty was sold, it was branded as a VW REAL DRIVER warranty. My "platinum" level warranty runs out in May and/or 97K miles (I have 86K right now.) I called to see what an extension would cost...I was told I could get a 2 yr/24K mile warranty for $2300. They would not offer the higher gold plus and platinum levels due to age/mileage. This is not technically an extension but simply a new warranty. I could then cash in the value remaining on my existing warranty. If I wait until May, presumably, the quote will be a bit higher and perhaps, they may not offer a 2-yr product.

Fidelity has worked out great for me if anyone is shopping for a warranty. Only some dealers will sell Fidelity...I used the original dealer that issued the original extended warranty...that was Stohlman's VW in VA.

Since I am possibly selling my W8, I will simply offer the remaining 9 months of platinum protection to the new lucky owner. But, it is nice to know one could get another 2 years of coverage.

Dropping from Platinum to Gold does reduce the list of covered items but the big ones still remain covered.

Just thought I would post this info for anyone considering extended warranty options.

I was wondering if anyone has a scanned in image of an original window sticker? Preferably, a 2003 Wagon but I would be interested in seeing any. I had my tie rods replaced when the dealer said they were rusted and could not be adjusted. Cost me about $400. The car still pulls to the left. nukefission, I can tell you that the second set (7 spoke audi) will not work. I have a set of these and just tried today to put them on. They are not square enough inside and rub the outside of the caliper.

I'm looking for 16"ers for snow tires as well. Ideally, I'd have a set for daily driving too. The roads here in WV are tough on low profile wheels.
