Hi, my name is Derek.

I'm from Germany, more exactly from Lower Saxony (a village near Celle).

I own a 2004 W8 Variant in black magic and with purebeige coloured leather. Additionally my wife owns a beautiful 15year-old Golf Cabrio. I'm a Volkswagen enthusiast for more than 20 years now.

Great to find a special W8 site, hope to meet other W8 fellows.

I think it is quite normal that there is a difference in the european vs. american models.

Usually the numberplate is of a different form factor, and you get side-light on your models ... we don't

But I don't see the park-assistant on any of your models ... I didn't know that that actually was optionally on the W8-model...

Nice to meet you again. Hope you and your family are well and job and car are running.

My garage is brand new and ready since two weeks. It needed lots of money to construct it. Usually it should go on faster than it really went, but the construction firms are really stupid people, I can tell you.

But now our cars and all the rest of things we have around the house (bicycles, toys for the kids, machines for the garden and so on ..................) have a new home.

Gruetzi aus der Schweiz!

Muss mal bestimmt mit der W8 nach D fahren, haben mir leute aber gesagt das die gruene partei endlich gewonnen hat und jetzt kann mann kaum unbegrenzte autobahnstrecken finden. stimmts? Vor wenigen jahren gabs noch unbegrenzte strecken auf der A5, naehe freiburg im breisgau.

Denke auch mann kann viel mehr auf ebay.de finden als in den staaten.
