I am really enjoying the W8 now that everything is sorted. Bought the car with 30K something miles on it and just completed the 80K service. In between we replaced both cam adjusters, a new transmission, new exhaust, new gas tanks, a few front suspension control arms, and bought a replacement radio/CD player with hands-free telephone (not yet installed) - all in all we are very happy with the car and hope to get our money out of it by continuing to drive it and eventually give it to our oldest grand daughter in about five years.

Ours was a pretty big headache to fix everything last fall, but no issues since! (hopefully didn't jinx it now...)

The car looks beautiful. Nice example! I am very surprised that you could find one with only 30k miles on it. Mine has 132k and I just sold another one with 197k on it. With proper care, these things will run for a long time.

The car runs like a top now. All it took was money and a competent VW mechanic!

I bought my wife a new Audi A7 TDI, but she would rather drive the W8. Go figure.

They are pretty sweet when they work properly. Ergonomically I find it better than my Phaeton W12.   In fact the W12 mostly sits while I drive the W8 Wagon.
