wash fluid leak could be on the headlight washers, same tank although the headlight washers stop working when the tank is between 1/2 to 1/3 full (so you can still scoosh the windows) On mine one of the feed hoses perished just below the washer jet.

Update:

1. Was leaking oil at the oil cooler fitting. Mechanic managed his wizardy and got another fitting.
2. Washer fluid was from a hose (can't remember excatly which)
3. Climatronic unit went bad (didn't see that coming but makes sense why the A/C would never come on
4. Odd amounts of junk getting caught in the orifice filter
5. Some fitting in the AC lines where replaced
6. Chance my fan may we bad

More updates:

Still working on this, w8 life

1. Climatonic was replaced with a used one from another w8er
2. Fans where bad (confirmed) particularly the control unit, ordered new from Germany, none in America
3. A/C lines were dirty (not sure how but that's what I've been told maybe damage from years of neglect)
4. The AC Schrader valve was discovered to be bad
5. 8A0820855AA is the part of an 2003 but wrong so trying 8A0820855AB from a 2004

I am a big proponent of paying the dealer to fix my W8 gremlins. Work always come with a warranty. Only drawback is it is expensive, but the pleasure of driving a perfectly sorted 15 year old collector W8 far out weighs the money for me.
